History
The Memling has always been the reference hotel in the DRC.
Inaugurated in 1937, it has evolved over time to make travelers feel at ease and to meet the needs and expectations of even the most demanding clients.
The hotel is still owned by Sabena, the former national airline of Belgium. Sabena opened the hotel to provide luxury accommodation for its passengers travelling to Kinshasa.
The hotel was named after the famous Belgian painter Hans Memling (15th century).
